Our Organisation

Family Based Care is a non-faith based not for profit community organisation that has been providing support in the home and community for the frail aged, disabled, and their carers since 1986.

With over 35 years of experience in delivering care and support you can be assured that we will always do our best to provide care that is the right fit at the right time in the right place.

Our Allied Health Services encompass Tidswell Consulting, My Psychology Tasmania, and My Speech Pathology Tasmania, and provide an alternate pathway to services which may not be widely available or accessible across Tasmania.

With offices in Burnie, Launceston, Devonport, Hobart, and Rosebery our service area extends across Tasmania, including King Island, Flinders Island, the North East, and the West Coast.

Vision

By 2023 Family Based Care Tasmania aims to be the largest non-faith-based vertically integrated provider of Community Based Individualised Support Services in Tasmania, enabling all our clients to feel valued, participate in society, and achieve their goals.

Mission

The purpose of Family Based Care Tasmania is to provide individualised support for people with a disability, the frail aged and their carers which will enable them to remain independent, return to the workforce or comfortably stay in their own homes for as long as possible.
